Prof. Phanithi Prakash Babu

Prof. Prakash Babu received Graduation from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Masters from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and Ph.D from University of Hyderabad. Subsequently completed Post-Doctoral training from Research Institute for Brain and Blood Vessels, Japan and Kings College, London, U.K. His main research interests are Cerebral Ischemia/ Ischemic stroke, Glioma, Meningioma and Cerebral Malaria. He has guided 22 doctoral students, 4 Post-Doctoral students and is currently supervising 8 Ph.D. students and 2 Post-Doctoral students. His significant contributions have won him several laurels including the 2018 Ashoka Fellow and the Rare Champion of Hope 2019 from Global Genes USA.
